Nowadays he performs his songs sitting on a chair because he can hardly stand because of his worn knees. That doesn’t hold him back from continuously touring. Now he released an album with his German touring-band The Phantomz and that turned out to be a wise choice because on `The League Of Shadows’ he proves he’s still the rough and tough singer he was back in the days. Paul Di’Anno will forever be remembered as the singer on the first two (now) classic Iron Maiden albums and with this album filled with original songs he stays true to his past: right in your face British heavy metal. Okay he decided to cover Deep Purple’s ,,Soldier Of Fortune’’ which maybe wasn’t the most clever thing to do but you have to admire him for his guts. Overall a pretty good album and good to hear he’s back.
