MY FAVOURITE QUOTES

Hi all and how are you?

Let's talk about my favourite quotes.
I'm sure you all know at least one that you use on a regular basis. You know, when you want to stress a point to someone and prove them wrong or just to be a smart Alec or even lift the spirits of a loved one.
There are all types of quotes for all subjects, life, love, friendships and so on. "Life happens when you're busy making other plans", John Lennon. “Don't wait till some day to start living", Unknown. My buddy once told me to "Live your life as you may die tomorrow. For in this life, you won't get out alive".
There are a few inspirational life quotes. One of my favourites is, "Don't gain the world and lose your soul. Wisdom is better than silver and gold", Bob Marley. Thanks Bob. They can lift you or drain you of your essence depending on how you absorb them. "We can take what we do seriously, but not ourselves. We are nothing more than a living joke", Unknown. I could go on and on. It would be interesting to hear some of your favourites, please send them in for "Living starts outside your comfort zone", ha ha ha.
Here's one. "A lie gets half way round the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on", Winston Churchill. He had a few up his sleeve! He had a mind like a diamond. Sharp, bright and very very hard! He once said to a woman in the audience who shouted at him "Sir, you're drunk", To which he replied. "Madam, you're ugly, but in the morning I'll be sober", ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Einstein quoted. "The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits". Priceless! "Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth", Unknown.
I like this one. "Finally my winter fat is done. Now I have spring rolls", ha ha ha. You gotta love ‘em. "Food is like sex. When you abstain, even the worst stuff begins to look good", Beth McCollister. Oh dear, bring on the beer goggles!

My grandmother had some Caribbean quotes that were just WACK!
"Every bit of mouldy bread has its cheese". Meaning there is someone for everyone. "All fish bite. But the shark gets the blame". Meaning those with a history of bad behaviour will be the first to be accused! "Bad things never have an owner". No one wants to take responsibility for a mistake or bad situation. But my favourite from her whenever I was naughty, which was often, was "Yu takin trick to make luck". I was pushing the boundaries of my behaviour. But my most favourite of all time which someone very close to me detests with a passion, so more often than not I'll use it just to wind her clock, so to speak! And I quote and I do hope she's reading this column and if my luck runs out it'll be the last column I write as I'll be missing from planet earth. So my last will and testament is as follows.

"NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED".

Thanks for listening, or reading.

P.S. “Be kind to your children for they will choose your old people’s home”, Unknown.
