And How Musicians Are Killing Time-Pt 2

06 April 2020 by HBLS team

Musicians have to find other ways to stay visible in these unprecedented times. When they are forced to stay at home due to the COVID-19 virus they come up with other ideas to communicate with their fans and stay visible in these unprecedented times. They mostly use social media for it. HeadBangers LifeStyle collected a few of their messages but if you are bored and go through the Internet yourself you will find many more. Feel free to share them with us. Today part 2.

Megadeth bass player David Ellefson started the School’s Out initiative. In this lesson he walks us through Megadeth's hit single ,,Trust". There is more to be found on the DEYMF YouTube channel.

More info on the #SchoolsOut initiative:

Nuclear Blast posted a Q&A video with singer Floor Jansen of Nightwish

Steve Vai goes live on his Facebook page and talks guitar and music in 'Alien Guitar Secrets Live'.

Australian rock star Jimmy Barnes (Cold Chisel) comes up with funny challenges every day, most involve singing off course. Follow his official Facebook page here
You can find an example of those challenges here

Kip Winger comes with 'Staying Home Vol.1', not so much a live performance as well as a Q&A with the occasional song played.

Reformed Dutch rockers Vandenberg go through the ‘Vandenberg 2020’ album track by track so keep following their Facebook page.

Tyketto singer and solo artist Danny Vaughn gave his 2nd living room concert from his home and again it was a two hour treat. He will probably keep doing this once a week so next time join in if you haven’t done so yet. Keep an eye on his Facebook page

Vaughn's bandmate, Tyketto guitarist Chris Green uses his Facebook page for 'Riff Raff part 1' in which the band's classic ,,Forever Young'' was stripped down and taught note for note, so especially interesting for guitarists. You can watch it here.

Norwegian extreme metal band Enslaved took part in the Verftet Online Music Festival in Bergen, Norway.

Guitarist, composer Steve Blaze performing Lillian Axe songs on Facebook.

Drummer Deen Castronovo of The Dead Daisies started the ‘Deeno’s Car Karaoki’ while his band colleague guitarist Doug Aldrich launched ‘Doug's Pyjama Jams’

Drummer Koen Herfst (The Cards, Vandenberg) and keyboardist, bassist Harrison Young (The Cards, ex-Doro, ex-U.D.O.) went on The Cards Official Facebook page for an improvised show.

And just when we were closing this episode of 'The World In Lockdown' German guitarist Axel Rudi Pell posted a special new song which is not on his new album 'Sign Of The Times'. The song is called ,,Quarantined 1''

That's it for the moment. There is a lot more going on on the World Wide Web so don't hesitate to share your finds with us.

Stay healthy, stay safe, stay at home, be careful and look after one another!
