Live | Kissin’ Dynamite [support: Shakra & Seraina Telli] – Turbinenhalle 2 – Oberhausen [Ger]
24 October 2025
A while ago, I saw that there would be a wonderful package on Tour, namely three bands that I would make for a wonderful evening of music. Kissin’Dynamite, Shakra and Seraina Telli. So off we went to the Turbinenhalle 2 in Oberhausen. At first, I was only going to attend the show as a visitor, but on second thought, this show really deserved a nice report.
FIRST SUPPORT ACT – SERAINA TELLI

When I enter the venue around 7 p.m., I immediately notice that the available space on stage has been used to its full potential. It is crammed with the bands’ gear. Seraina Telli has the honor of kicking off today’s evening. As always, she is ready to party, but today is also the official release day of her new album ‘Green’.

Just like the last time I saw her perform, Seraina rocked the stage with drummer Mike Malloth by her side. Given the lack of space, I couldn’t imagine how an extra guitarist and bassist could have fit on stage. Just like the last time I saw her, some of the parts were played by tape. However, Seraina knows how to deliver this with conviction. Musically, the likeable frontwoman is moving further and further away from her musical power/heavy metal roots into a more pop rock-oriented direction. And given her versatile vocal range, I can’t blame her for constantly pushing the boundaries.

The audience responded enthusiastically and loudly to songs such as ,,Addicted To Color” and ,,Let It All Out”, or the beautiful performance of ,,Off”. A nicely varied set from this power duo.
SECOND SUPPORT ACT – SHAKRA

After a quick change-over, it was Shakra‘s turn to fire a relentless barrage of hard and heavy rock at the audience. The Swiss may have been around for many years, but they still have the energy to take to the stage like young dogs. The sound is insanely good and thick. Unfortunately, singer Mark Fox was mostly in the dark due to the stage setup. Someone had apparently forgotten to aim a spotlight at the front of the stage. But that’s the only downside I can report about this show.

The opener, ,,Hello” once again makes it clear what this band has been doing at such a high level for so many years. Just a no-nonsense attitude and delivering quality. Roger Tanner‘s drumbeat is as tight as a second hand on a clock. The guitar tandem Thom Blunier and Thomas Muster is finger-licking good, and bassist Cyril Montavon once again lays down a thick layer of concrete with fire.

In case people haven’t noticed yet, it doesn’t get much better than Shakra in the melodic heavy rock genre. A band like this should be able to fill venues like this on their own. Because now, the almost sold-out Turbinenhalle exploded!
THE HEADLINER – KISSIN’ DYNAMITE

And then the headliner of the evening: Kissin’ Dynamite.
A few weeks ago, the bombshell was dropped that singer Hannes Braun would be stepping down as frontman of the band. He will remain involved with Kissin’ Dynamite as a songwriter. If you want to see him perform live, you had to go to these fall shows or one of the three arena shows in September/October 2026. I assume that this fact also contributed to the fact that this tour has quite a few (almost) sold-out dates. Oberhausen is one of them, because the few tickets that were still available are negligible. The venue was packed, and this band deserves it. Because these gentlemen also deliver for the price of the entrance ticket.
Hannes and his men kick off with ,,Back With A Bang” and the catchy ,,DNA”. The lighting and sound are excellent. Although the sound at Shakra was a little more to the point. But otherwise, there is nothing left to be desired at a Kissin’ Dynamite show. They make good use of their towering scaffolding on stage. Confetti cannons fire plenty at the audience, that is including some teenagers! It’s always cool to see that young people are also embracing this type of music.
SHOW ELEMENT

Since 2006, Kissin’ Dynamite has established itself as an act that matters, without ever forgetting the show element. The kingscape, throne, and scepter during ,,I Will Be King” have become an integral part of a KD show. Hannes’ boat ride through the audience and the piano on stage are also small details that ensure there is always something happening during a KD show.
Is it all about the show? No, certainly not. This band is a solid machine. Drummer Sebastian Berg, together with bassist Steffen Haile, provides a more than solid foundation for the band’s drive and low end. Lead guitarist Jim Müller and rhythm guitarist Ande Braun play tight, and vocally, these guys have their act together. The harmonies are crystal clear, and lead singer Hannes Braun is in a class of his own, knowing how to entertain an audience.

The atmosphere is relaxed, and Hannes regularly shares quotes between songs. The audience is clearly delighted, and the band is also on stage with sparkling eyes. To mention a few more highlights from the show, ,,The Devil Is A Woman”, ,,Not The End Of The Road”, and ,,You’re Not Alone” captivate everyone.

After seeing this beautiful headliner show, I am curious to see what the future holds for this top act. Hannes is not easily replaceable as frontman, and only time will tell. For now, I was able to enjoy another wonderful evening with three top acts and drive home satisfied.
