Live | Seraina Telli – The Pitcher- Düsseldorf [De]
22 September 2025
On Thursday, September 11, it was time to drive to Düsseldorf again. The ‘KultLaden’ The Pitcher was hosting a performance by Swiss singer Seraina Telli. A date that had already been postponed twice. Originally, it was planned much earlier, but due to various circumstances, it was postponed. For the fans in attendance, it was a nice bonus that several songs from the new album `Green’ to be released on October 24, were played.
The Pitcher is basically nothing more than a slightly larger pub in the center of Düsseldorf, with a capacity of approx. 100 visitors. Nevertheless, it is a place where bands play live on a regular basis. Its small scale has its charms, and it is also an extremely welcoming venue.

For this gig, Seraina traveled with drummer Rico Horber (also her regular producer) and an additional singer who sang along on a number of songs [sorry I did not catch her name]. Seraina handled the vocals, guitar, and keyboard parts. The bass parts and some additional guitars came from backing tracks. That wasn’t too bad, but I think it would have been even cooler with a full band lineup, including a bassist and an extra guitarist.
VERY PRODUCTIVE

What is clear is that this lady is a more than talented artist. She doesn’t need to learn anything when it comes to singing, and songwriting is no problem either, as Seraina is quite productive in that area with three releases: ‘Simple Talk’ [2022], ‘Addicted To Color’ [2023], and the new album ‘Green’, due out in October 24th. And all that in a span of four years. In addition, she also released the album ‘Black ‘n’ White Sessions’ in 2024 as a kind of interlude. It features a bunch of her songs in unplugged versions.
STAGE TIME

And no, her setlist does not include any songs from her former band Burning Witches.
At 8 p.m., she takes the stage at The Pitcher and Seraina’s energy immediately spreads to the audience. The venue was packed with fans who were just as excited as the artist on stage.
As mentioned, we were treated to a cross-section of her solo work. The uptempo hits such as ,,Addicted To Color’’, ,,Colors Of My Soul’’, ,,I’m Not Sorry’’, ,,Take Care’’ or ,,Song For The Girls” were received with open arms. But the quieter moments in the almost 110-minute set also received plenty of applause. Seraina’s vocal range is above average, and she is an absolute natural performer. From the new album, we already got to enjoy ,,Consequences”, ,,Green” and ,,Home.”
In October, this lady will be touring Germany as support for Kissin’ Dynamite. If you have the chance, it’s definitely worth seeing. In any case, I drove home feeling more than satisfied, although the question remains whether it would have been even cooler if there had been a full live band.
Maybe next time !?
