HOW I SPEND MY DAYS IN LOCKDOWN

Good day good people and how are you? Through all of this madness I do hope you are all well?

How I spend my days in lockdown and what I shall do after.
As many of you have now gathered, half the world is more or less under house arrest, and though some may disagree and say it is a necessary evil, it is a great way to control the population. We hear, “STAY AT HOME” and this very phrase has now become part of our vocabulary. We are allowed out only once a day for either a walk to exercise, or to do the shopping we need for the time we need it, and not to panic buy, as so many others have! You can only use so much toilet paper at once, and unless you’re wiping the bum of an elephant, why do you need so much? I have been binge watching some of my favourite Netflix series, reading, but unfortunately I don’t have the wood to be making any pallet furniture, damn!

What am I going to do when this is all over? At the moment there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight, but no state is permanent, not even a bad one! I will be free to do as I so choose, meaning I’ll go and re-acquaint myself with my beloved instrument for at the moment I’m doing a lot of mental practice. As many of you have been in self isolation, and possibly going stir crazy, climbing the walls and killing your spouses, I hope not, then you will also scream at the top of your voice, Freedom! To be honest I don’t mind the time off school as I’m still being paid till the end of term. I’ll walk the dog, in spite of the fact that I don’t have one, I’ll buy one just for the hell of it. We now recognise the value of our freedom now that it has been taken away from us! So when the ban is lifted I shall continue as I did before. Go to work, practice, rehearse, shopping and all the other inane activities I so took for granted. It will be a time to reflect on this event and perhaps be prepared for the next one! Trust me, there will be another!
