MY GOOD INTENTIONS FOR 2019
By johanne James
Here are my good intentions for 2019.
I didn’t know I had any, but I would imagine that my first good intention would be to keep breathing! Everything else is secondary. I would like to end all wars, clear the third world debt, put an end to starvation, poverty, exploitation, modern day slavery, racism, sexism, disease, pollution and Brexit! Ha, I must be dreaming, those are unrealistic expectations, aren’t they? In truth, it is not my intention to heal the world!
To be kind, thoughtful, generous, honest, helpful, truthful, patient, oh boy! Loyal, healthy, physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally and financially! Cool. To be a teacher and student, loving, giving caring and understanding. Fruitful, productive, creative, wise, a better drummer, performer, writer, provider, funny and happy.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Those are also unrealistic expectations!! I know, I can also hear you laughing! Those are only possible if you’re a human being, but in my case, Darwin’s theory of evolution concludes otherwise, but I digress.
Is it too much to ask to be the best of oneself, to realize and reach one’s full potential? It’s within us all, so all joking aside, these are all possible, and it is my intention to achieve them and all else will follow, the playing and traveling and meeting likeminded souls will come.
So without further rambling, I hope you have all had a good 2018, and I wish you all the best for 2019.
Thanks for listening.
