Mike Howe and Kurdt Vanderhoof of METAL CHURCH

Singer Mike Howe and guitarist/founding member Kurdt Vanderhoof of the legendary American heavy metal band METAL CHURCH started working together in 1988, when Mike replaced original vocalist David Wayne. After recording 3 albums together [`Blessing In Disguise’, ‘The Human Factor’ and ‘Hanging In The Balance’], Metal Church split up in 1995. Metal Church reunited in various line ups, but it wasn’t until 2014 that Mike Howe rejoined Metal Church. Since then the band released the excellent albums `XI’ [2016] and `Damned If You Do’ [2018] and hit the road succesfully.

After their show at this year’s edition of Alcatraz Metal Festival, HeadBangers LifeStyle’s Lilo got the opportunity to talk with Mike and Kurdt.
