There once was a band that had the blessing of a huge hit song called „Last Resort“. Don’t get me wrong, I still think it is an amazing song, but growing up and seeing the band grow, I can’t stand this song anymore when I hear it during a Papa Roach show. To limit Jacoby and his gang to this one song I have to tell you, fuck off and stop reading my review, as you have no idea. Papa Roach made a transformation from a band out of a fading scene into one of the most exciting and energetic live bands these days. With the new album `Crooked Teeth’ on its way, the question is if the consumers will still celebrate the hard working band or if there is a time coming where it becomes harder for a rock band like Papa Roach?
To me, they figured out a way to deliver hard rocking and catchy song diamonds that can be compared to their back catalogue, but unfortunately due to the fact that the music consummation has changed so much, the people won’t buy it as much as they did 20 years ago. Still, my hopes are for a huge success with `Crooked Teeth’ as to me, Papa Roach are rocking the shit like they always did.
