In a hidden city, far far away, there is no darkness anymore. I have not heard The Cult so happy since like……ever. I would even say, you can definitely hear The Cult, but also hear them as you have never heard them before. Somehow I am loss for words as it really surprises me, in a very positive way. This is not a veteran band who does what they always do. This is a mature band who does whatever they want. With a singer like Ian Astbury you can do that anyway. He could sing on a country album and you would still have the connection to The Cult. Seriously one of my biggest surprises in the young year of 2016.
